Mega just released a new Android app that lets you have your documents wherever you are.
If you need to save your files in the cloud, Mega is one option you should definitely consider. It offers you 50 GB of free online storage that can be used to upload photos, videos, audio or any kind of file using your mobile device.
Mega’s interface is quite clean and simple – after you log in, or create a new account straight from the app, you will find 5 buttons at the lower part of the screen: Upload, Reload, New Folder, Enter Mega link to file, and Account. The Account section shows your storage space, divided into used and free space.
To make things even easier, there’s a Search bar on the upper right corner that will help you navigate through all your stuff.
I just used the app and there’s a bug that makes the app crash every time you try to upload “big” files, for example, an APK file. Still, images and songs load pretty quickly.
There’s an iOS app on the way. We’ll just have to wait and see if Apple doesn’t reject the app.
Right now, you can download Mega for Android free of charge on the Play store.
